Tobol earned two more wins in D1 championship. The Kostanay team upset Kaspiy twice to improve at 7-9 record.
Tobol opened back-to-back games with an 84:74 win. Pavel Mikheev (200-F-83) exploded with 30 points and 11 rebounds to lead the winners. Tobol and Kaspiy were tied at 38 at halftime but the hosts stepped on the gas in the second half and ran away with a comfortable win at the end. BC Astana maintained top position in D1 standings with back-to-back wins over their archrivals Barsy Atyrau. The victories propelled BC Astana to 12-0 record. Barsy meanwhile fell at 9-5 record.
