It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Bars. Guard Alymzhan Maksutov (180-1994) orchestrated the victory by scoring 29 points and 9 rebounds. Begzod Mammatrimov contributed with 16 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Guard Artem Kozyrkin (185-1998) replied with 21 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists for Bars. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Turan maintains first position with 16-2 record. Bars at the other side keep the second place with four games lost. They share the position with Shymkent. Turan will play against ChelSU (#4) in Kostanay in the next round. Bars will have a break next round.
The game with biggest result difference took place in Astana. Local Tigers-KazATU (6-11) outscored 7th ranked Karaganda (1-17) 80-50 on Tuesday night. Worth to mention a quality performance of Roman Baybolov who helped to win the game recording 13 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. Medeu Aukesh responded with 6 points and 12 rebounds. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Tigers-KazATU maintains fifth position with 6-11 record. Karaganda lost seventh consecutive game. They stay dead last with 17 lost games. Tigers-KazATU will meet Champ1on (#6) in the next round. Karaganda will play against Shymkent and hope to win that game.
