Best players of Kazakhstan National League round 14

American Eric McGill (190-G-1996) had a great game in the last round for league's second-best BK Caspiy Aktau and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 14.
The 29-year old guard had the game-high 25 points adding six rebounds and eight assists for Caspiy Aktau in his team's victory, helping them to crush Tobol (#5, 3-27) with 25-point margin 99-74. Caspiy Aktau is placed at 2nd position in Kazakhstan National League. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Caspiy Aktau will need more victories to improve their 16-12 record. In the team's last game McGill had a remarkable 83.3% from 2-point range. He turned to be Caspiy Aktau's top player in his first season with the team. Southern Illinois University graduate has very impressive stats this year. McGill is in league's top in points (9th best: 13.8ppg), rebounds (9th best: 5.9rpg) and averages solid 3.5spg and 56.1% FGP.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young international swingman Pavel Ilyin (194-F/G-1992) of MBK Tobol Kostanay. Ilyin impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 29 points and 12 rebounds. Bad luck as Tobol lost that game 74-99 to the higher-ranked Caspiy Aktau (#2, 16-12). Tobol are still at the very bottom. 27 lost games are too many comparing to just three victories Tobol managed to get this year. Ilyin is one of the most experienced players at Tobol and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 15.9ppg (#6). He also registered 7.9 boards per game.

The third best performed player last round was another Tobol's star - international forward Anton Bykov (200-F-1989). Bykov got into 30-points club by scoring exactly 30 points in the last round. He went also for eleven rebounds and four assists. Despite Bykov's great performance the MBK Tobol Kostanay lost 73-88 to the higher-ranked Astana (#1, 26-3). But his team cannot count on just these two top stars as they also need help of the other teammates. Tobol can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have extremely bad season and 3-27 record places them at the very bottom of the standings. Bykov has individually a great season in Kazakhstan. After 19 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 18.3ppg (3rd best) and rebounds with 11.4rpg (#1 in league).
