International Guard Maksim Marchuk (195-G-1994) put on an amazing game in the last round for BK Caspiy Aktau, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 12.
The 30-year old player had a double-double of 15 points and 13 rebounds, while his team crushed Almaty L. (#4, 8-5) with 23-point margin 91-68. Caspiy Aktau maintains the 5th position in Kazakhstan National League. Caspiy Aktau is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 8-10 record. Marchuk turned to be Caspiy Aktau's top player in his first season with the team. Maksim Marchuk has solid league stats. He is in league's top in points (8th best: 15.5ppg), rebounds (3rd best: 11.0rpg), assists (5th best: 6.1apg) and averages impressive 1.6bpg,2.9spg and 50.6% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was young Nazim Adylbekov (200-F-2001) of MBK Irtysh Pavlodar. Adylbekov had a very good evening with a double-double of 17 points and 14 rebounds. Bad luck as Irtysh lost that game 69-87 to the higher-ranked Tobol (#2, 12-4). Irtysh managed to keep the same 8th spot in the standings. 15 lost games are too many comparing to just three victories Irtysh managed to get this year. Adylbekov is well-known at Irtysh and is a proven leader in his second season with the team. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 15.7ppg (#7). He also registered 11.0 boards per game.

Third on the list of top players last round was another Caspiy Aktau's star - American forward LaDarius Marshall (201-F/C-1999). Marshall showcased his all-around game by recording 14 points, 9 rebounds and 7 assists in the last round. He was another key player of BK Caspiy Aktau, helping his team with a 91-68 easy win against slightly higher-ranked Almaty L. (#4, 8-5). The chances of Caspiy Aktau ranking at the top of the league, however are very questionable as they have already lost 10 games, recording just eight victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Marshall could help Caspiy Aktau to bring them higher in the standings. Marshall has a great season in Kazakhstan.
