Kazakhstan Higher League round 26 best performance: Anuar Shakirov (by Hoops Agents)

Point guard Anuar Shakirov (180-PG-2000) had an amazing evening in the last round for MBK Kazygurt Shymkent, receiving a Hoops Agents Higher League Player of the Week award for round 26.
The 24-year old player was the main contributor (30 points, eight rebounds and six assists) to his team's victory, helping them to outclass Champ1on (#6, 3-23) with 47-point margin 88-41. Shymkent maintains the 3rd position in Kazakhstan Higher League. They are still close to the very top. Shymkent would have been even better if they kept winning the games like in the last round. They have a solid 21-5 record. In the team's last game Shakirov had a remarkable 54.5% from 2-point range and got four three-pointers out of 6 attempts. He has many years of experience at Shymkent, through which he has constantly improved. Anuar Shakirov has solid league stats. He is league's best scorer averaging so far 23.3ppg. Shakirov is in league's top in assists (2nd best: 5.2apg) and averages impressive 2.4spg and 52.1% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was another Shymkent's star - young Aleksei Vereshagin (200-F-1992). Vereshagin had a very good evening with a double-double of 18 points and 17 rebounds. Vereshagin is one of the most experienced players at Shymkent and similarly like Anuar Shakirov has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 14.7ppg (#9). He also registered 8.7 boards per game.

Third on the list of top players last round was swingman Eset Zharkylov (195-F/G-1998) of league's top team Turan. Zharkylov scored 19 points and grabbed 16 rebounds (!!!). He was a key player of Turan, leading his team to a 72-26 easy win against the lower-ranked Champ1on (#6, 3-23). Turan confirms their top position in the standings. Zharkylov has a great season in Kazakhstan. After 26 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 7.5rpg (7th best). He also has 1.1bpg and a FGP of 67.1%.
