Best players of Kazakhstan Higher League round 14

Experienced International Center Dmitriy Gavrilov (204-C-1986) had a great game in the last round for Aktobe and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Higher League Player of the Week award for round 14.
The 39-year old center had a double-double of 37 points and 20 rebounds, while his team beat Almaty-2 (#9, 4-8) 94-89. Aktobe is placed at 3rd position in Kazakhstan Higher League. Aktobe has a very good season and are considered to have a run for the championship title. They improved their record to 11-1. In the team's last game Gavrilov had a remarkable 78.6% from 2-point range. He turned to be Aktobe's top player in his first season with the team. Gavrilov has impressive league stats. He is league's best scorer averaging so far 21.0ppg and leads league in rebounds with 13.9rpg. Gavrilov is in league's top in and averages solid 65.0% FGP.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was another Aktobe's star - young guard Baynazar Omarov (185-G-2004). Omarov impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 25 points and 10 rebounds. It was enough for Aktobe to edge the lower-ranked Almaty-2 (#9, 4-8) by 5 points 94-89. This victory allowed Aktobe to move up to 3rd position in the standings. His team belongs to top of the standings with 11-1 record and is considered one of the main candidates for the league title. Omarov is one of the most experienced players at Aktobe and similarly like Dmitriy Gavrilov has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

The third best performed player last round was Bektimir Tau (200-PF-2007) of Champ1on (#10). Tau scored 15 points and grabbed 20 rebounds (!!!). Despite Tau's great performance the Champ1on lost 71-76 to the higher-ranked Aktobe (#3, 11-1). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. Champ1on can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have rather bad season and 3-9 record places them close to the bottom of the standings. Tau has individually a great season in Kazakhstan. After only 8 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 13.0rpg (2nd best).
