Best players of Kazakhstan Higher League round 5

Anuar Shakirov (180-PG-2000) had a very impressive game in the last round for league's second-best MBK Kazygurt Shymkent and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Higher League Player of the Week award for round 5.
The 25-year old playmaker had the game-high 31 points adding six rebounds and four assists for Shymkent in his team's victory, helping them to outclass, the league's bottom-ranked team Almaty-2 (#12, 0-4) with 32-point margin 96-64. Shymkent is placed at 2nd position in Kazakhstan Higher League. They maintain a perfect record without any lost game in the league. The season is still on an early stage, but Shymkent already had a very good start winning all 4 without losing a single one. In the team's last game Shakirov had a remarkable 77.8% from 2-point range. He has many years of experience at Shymkent, through which he has constantly improved. Shakirov has impressive league stats. He is in league's top in points (3rd best: 22.0ppg) and averages solid 2.3spg,51.3% FGP and 53.3% from behind 3-point line.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young forward Askar Akhmetzhan (198-F-1998) of Turan. Akhmetzhan impressed basketball fans with 29 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. The third best performed player last round was Maksim Nalogov (198-F/C-1994) of top-ranked MBK Bars Petropavlovsk. Nalogov showcased his all-around game by recording 25 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists in the last round. He was a key player of Bars, leading his team to a 98-66 easy win against the lower-ranked ChelSU (#6, 3-2). Bars started extremely well this year. They recorded 5 victories without losing a single game. Nalogov turns to be one of the very best players in the league while he is also a leader of the top team having his eyes on the championship title. Nalogov has a great season in Kazakhstan. After only 5 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 18.6ppg (7th best), rebounds with 10.2rpg (6th best) and assists with 5.4apg (2nd best).
