Alphonso Willis' triple-double lands him Player of the Week award

26-year old American guard Alphonso Willis (188-G-1998, agency: Highlight Athletes) put on an amazing game in the last round for league's best team Irbis Almaty and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 17.
He recorded a triple-double of 12 points adding also 12 rebounds and 14 assists, while his team beat Caspiy Aktau (#5, 10-14) 94-81. It allowed Irbis to take over top position in the Kazakhstan league. Irbis have a solid 17-4 record. It was one of impressive evenings for Willis as usually he does not deliver so high stats. Alphonso Willis averages just after two games 11.0ppg, 12.0rpg and 9.5apg.

Second best performed player last round was Anton Bykov (200-F-1989) of league's second-best MBK Tobol Kostanay. He is international forward in his 10th season at Tobol. Third place about best performers goes to forward Aaron Ridley III (197-F) of BK Barsy Atyrau (#4). Ridley III showcased his all-around game by recording 21 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists in the last round. He was a key player of Barsy Atyrau, leading his team to a 90-79 win against slightly lower-ranked Astana Ac. (#6, 9-15). Barsy Atyrau needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 13 victories and 9 lost games. Ridley III has a very solid season.
