Bormatenkov's double-double lands him Higher League Player of the Week award

33-year old forward Sergei Bormatenkov (191-F-1991) put on an amazing game in the last round for league's best team Turan and receives a Hoops Agents Higher League Player of the Week award for round 17.
He had a double-double of 13 points and 15 rebounds, while his team beat Tigers-KazATU (#5, 4-11) 73-60. It allowed Turan to consolidate first place in the Kazakhstan Higher League. Turan have a solid 14-2 record. In the team's last game Bormatenkov had a remarkable 60.0% from 2-point range. He turned to be Turan's top player in his first season with the team. Sergei Bormatenkov averages this season 12.4ppg and 6.5rpg.

Second best performed player last round was Alymzhan Maksutov (180-G-1994). He is a guard in his 2nd season at Turan. In the last game Maksutov recorded an impressive 31 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Of course together with Bormatenkov he helped Turan with another comfortable win 73-60 over the lower-ranked Tigers-KazATU (#5, 4-11) being unquestionably team leader. Of course Turan still keep the league's top spot. His team lost just two games this season, while they won 14 matches. Maksutov is well-known at Turan and together with Sergei Bormatenkov he already established his position as one of the team's leaders. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 16.9ppg (#7). He also recorded 3.7 assists per game.

Third place about best performers goes to forward Maksim Nalogov (198-F/C-1994) of league's second-best MBK Bars Petropavlovsk. Nalogov showcased his all-around game by recording 12 points, 11 rebounds (!!!) and 11 assists (!!!) in the last round. He was a key player of Bars, leading his team to a 85-34 easy win against the lower-ranked Champ1on (#6, 2-14). Bars is closer and closer to top of the standings. They will still need more victories. But 13-3 record is not that bad... Nalogov has a great season in Kazakhstan. After 15 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 17.7ppg (5th best), rebounds with 9.7rpg (2nd best) and assists with 4.4apg (6th best). He also has a FGP of 51.0% and 3PT: 44.4%.
