There was a surprise result when fourteenth rankedAlmaty-2 (1-6) smashed at home higher ranked Kaspiy-2 (1-6) 96-68 on Sunday. Almaty-2 dominated down low during the game scoring 68 of its points in the paint compared to Kaspiy-2 's 42. Almaty-2 forced 48 Kaspiy-2 turnovers and had a 24-11 advantage in offensive rebounds. Almaty-2 looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Bogdan Boyko scored 19 points, 8 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 blocks to lead the charge for the winners and Sabir Tagiev chipped in 15 points and 15 rebounds during the contest. Five Almaty-2 players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was Beksultan Ukibay with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 10 rebounds and Amir Kabulov scored 14 points and 5 assists. Kaspiy-2's coach Nursultan Bekmuratov gave up on the game allowing to play twelve players seeing no chance for a win. Almaty-2 left bottom position moving up to eleventh place, which they share with defeated Kaspiy-2. It was Kaspiy-2 's fourth loss in a row.
