Regular Season Round 15: Barsy Atyrau - Tobol 106-66

The game between closely ranked teams ended with 5th ranked Tobol's (3-29) road loss to fourth ranked Barsy Atyrau (15-17) 66-106 on Tuesday. Barsy Atyrau dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Tobol's 32. They outrebounded Tobol 50-24 including a 34-16 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was an exceptional evening for American forward Marty Jackson (198-2000, college: St.Leo) who led the winners and scored 30 points and 7 rebounds (on 13-of-15 shooting from the field). His fellow American import point guard Michael Mays (178-1999, college: King) accounted for 21 points for the winning side. Barsy Atyrau's coach Alexandr Lyssyak felt very confident that he used entire bench and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Guard Adil Sultanov (175-2008) came up with 19 points and the former international forward Anton Bykov (200-1989) added 10 points and 6 rebounds respectively for Tobol in the defeat. Barsy Atyrau have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain fourth place with 15-17 record. Tobol lost sixth consecutive game. They stay dead last with 29 lost games.
