Regular Season Round 38: ChelSU - Karaganda 61-78

There was a minor upset in Kostanay where 7th ranked ChelSU (15-13) was defeated by ninth ranked Karaganda (13-15) 78-61 on Friday. Karaganda forced 19 ChelSU turnovers. The best player for the winners was center Saveliy Shestak (200-2007) who had a double-double by scoring 26 points and 17 rebounds. Forward Alexey Alyonushka (190-1995) chipped in a double-double by scoring 17 points, 13 rebounds and 8 assists. Karaganda's coach used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. point guard Maxim Zhukov (173-2001) produced a double-double by scoring 21 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists and guard Arsen Mzikyan (190-2006) added 10 points and 9 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Karaganda maintains ninth position with 13-15 record. Loser ChelSU keeps the seventh place with 13 games lost.
