Luchko's double-double lands him Higher League Hoops Agents Player of the Week award

28-year old guard Dmitriy Luchko (193-G-1997) put on an amazing game in the last round for ChelSU Kostanay and receives a Hoops Agents Higher League Player of the Week award for round 22.
He had a double-double of 33 points and 15 rebounds, while his team edged out Oral (#9, 5-10) 71-69. ChelSU maintains the 5th position in Kazakhstan Higher League. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. ChelSU will need more victories to improve their 12-6 record. In the team's last game Luchko had a remarkable 52.9% from 2-point range. He turned to be ChelSU's top player in his first season with the team. Luchko has impressive league stats. He is in league's top in points (2nd best: 20.4ppg), rebounds (5th best: 10.3rpg) and averages solid 57.6% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was Mansur Seilkhanov (184-G-2006) of BQO-ARLANS Oral. He is a guard in his first season at Oral. In the last game Seilkhanov recorded an impressive 30 points, 2 rebounds and 7 assists. Of course he led Oral to another comfortable win outscoring the lower-ranked Tobyl (#12, 4-14) 93-66. The game was between two teams which are definitely not main contenders for the title. Oral keeps 9th position. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 5-10 record. Seilkhanov is a newcomer at Oral and quickly became one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to another ChelSU's star - guard Maxim Zhukov (173-PG-2001). Zhukov got into 30-points club by scoring 33 points in the last round. He went also for eight rebounds and six assists. He was another key player of ChelSU Kostanay, helping his team with a 83-68 easy win against slightly higher-ranked Barsy 2 (#4, 15-11). ChelSU needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 12 victories and 6 lost games. Zhukov has a great season in Kazakhstan. After 18 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 19.7ppg (5th best) and assists with 4.9apg (7th best).
