Ryan Wright to replace Terrence Roberts at Sonic Boom KT - Jan 13, 2013

Ryan Wright
Sonic Boom KT (KBL) has changed their import players. Korean club has just parted their ways with Terrance Roberst and landed 26-year old Canadian power forward Ryan Wright (206-113kg-87, college: Oklahoma). Wright already started the season at Anwil in Polish TBL league. In 11 TBL games this season he averaged 6.3ppg and 2.9rpg. The last season he played at Taiwan Mobile in Taiwanese SBL. In 22 games he had very impressive stats: 19.3ppg, 12.9rpg, 1.5spg and 1.0bpg. It was a very successful season in his career as he was selected to Asia-basket.com All-Taiwanese SBL 1st Team, All-Imports Team and to the All-Star Game. Wright also played at Soles in Mexican LNBP earlier that season. In 10 games he had 13.8ppg and 6.5rpg. The other team he played that season for was SK Cherkasy Monkeys in Ukrainian Superleague. In 12 games he had 6.1ppg and 4.9rpg. Wright attended University of Oklahoma until 2010 and it will be his third season in pro basketball.

The game between Top Four teams took place in Anyang. 3rd placed host Anyang KGC (10-5) lost to first ranked Samsung Thunders (13-3) 98-88. It ended at the same time the six-game winning streak of Anyang KGC. The game was mostly controlled by Samsung Thunders. Anyang KGC managed to win third quarter 28-27. Seoul SK Knights (KBL) added to their roster 29-year old American swingman Mario Little (198-99kg-87, college: Kansas) from LG Sakers. In four KBL games in South Korea he recorded very impressive stats: 16.3ppg, 4.3rpg, 4.5apg and 2.0spg this season. Ratliffe's double-double lands him Player of the Week award - 2 days ago

27-year old forward Ricardo Ratliffe (203-F-89) put on an amazing game in the last round for league's best team Samsung Th. and receives a Asia-basket.com Player of the Week award for round 12. He had a double-double of 21 points and 15 rebounds, while his team crushed Dongbu Promy (#4, 9-5) with 23-point margin 92-69. The game was between two of the league's top four teams.
