Experienced Egyptian Assem Marei (206-C-1992) had a great game in the last round for league's leader Changwon LG Sakers and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 14.
The 33-year old center had a double-double of 22 points and 20 rebounds, while his team beat Anyang (#2, 10-6) 78-70. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. It allowed Sakers to consolidate first place in the South Korean KBL. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. LG Sakers has a very solid 12-4 record, but they cannot be too comfortable about keeping top position. Marei turned to be Sakers' top player in his first season with the team. Minnesota State University Mankato graduate has very impressive stats this year. Marei leads league in rebounds with 14.5rpg. Marei is in league's top in assists (7th best: 4.5apg) and averages solid 2.6spg and 54.3% FGP.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young American forward Shawn Long (208-F-1993, agency: Pensack Sports) of Busan KCC Egis. Long impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 23 points and 15 rebounds. It was enough for Egis to edge the lower-ranked Daegu (#10, 4-12) by 1 point 94-93. This victory allowed KCC Egis to move up to 3rd position in the standings. His team's 9-6 record is not bad at all. Long is a newcomer at KCC Egis and it seems he did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders.

The third best performed player last round was American Nathan Knight (208-F/C-1997) of Sono Skygunners (#8). Knight showcased his all-around game by recording 23 points, 12 rebounds (!!!) and 4 assists in the last round. He was a key player of Skygunners, leading his team to a 93-82 win against the higher-ranked Wonju DB (#4, 9-7). The chances of Sono SG not to end season at such low position in the league, however are less than slim as they have already lost 10 games, recording just six victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Knight could try to bring Sono SG's a little bit higher in the standings. Knight has individually a great season in South Korea. After 16 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 19.7ppg (6th best) and rebounds with 11.5rpg (4th best).

The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3*(REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4*(2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3*(2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3*(3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
