Nagasaki Velca (B1 League) signed 24-year-old South Korean international Hyunjung Lee (college: Davidson) for the upcoming season. He last played for Illawarra Hawks in the Australian NBL, averaging 7.0ppg, 3.2rpg, and 1.2apg in 37 games last season, helping them win the league title. In the summer of 2024, he played for Trail Blazers in the NBA Summer League.
Lee has been a member of the South Korean international program for some years. He has regularly played for the South Korean senior team since 2021 and previously for the Under 18 National Team in 2018.
Lee also represented South Korea at the FIBA Asia Cup 2025 Qualifiers this year. During this event, he scored an average of 13 ppg and had 10 rpg.
He is a very experienced player. Lee has quite traveled the world as his pro career brought him to four different countries on three different continents (Asia, Australia and of course North America). He has played professionally in NBA G League (Santa Cruz Warriors), Japan (Evessa) and NBA Summer League (Philadelphia 76ers).
Lee was voted to the Atlantic 10 All-Rookie Team in 2020.
He graduated from Davidson College in 2022, and it'll be his fourth season in pro basketball.
