Alvano's 30-point game gives him Player of the Week award

28-year old American guard Ethan Alvano (185-G-1996) put on an amazing game in the last round for Wonju DB and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 42.
He had the game-high 30 points adding seven rebounds and six assists for Wonju DB in his team's victory, helping them to beat KoGas (#5, 24-25) 79-74. Wonju DB maintains the 6th position in South Korean league. Wonju DB is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 21-27 record. In the team's last game Alvano had a remarkable 78.6% from 2-point range. He has many years of experience at Wonju DB, through which he has constantly improved. California State University San Marcos graduate has very impressive stats this year. Alvano is in league's top in assists (2nd best: 5.9apg). Worth to mention Alvano played also at Eurobasket Summer League, which helped him get the job in pro basketball.

Second best performed player last round was Assem Marei (206-C-1992) of league's second-best Changwon LG Sakers. He is Egyptian center in his 4th season at LG Sakers. In the last game Marei recorded an impressive double-double of 18 points and 15 rebounds. Bad luck as Sakers was edged by slightly lower-ranked Suwon KT (#3, 28-19) 69-65. It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the title. LG Sakers still maintains its place in the top 2 of the standings, even despite this loss. His team's 30-18 record is not bad at all. Marei is one of the most experienced players at LG Sakers and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to center Jameel Warney (203-C-1994) of league's leader Seoul SK Knights. Warney scored 18 points and grabbed 12 rebounds (!!!). He was a key player of Knights, leading his team to a 85-79 win against #4 ranked Mobis Phoebus. Seoul Knights confirms their top position in the standings. Their record at this point is 39 victories and 10 lost games. Warney has a great season in South Korea. After 48 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 23.4ppg (best scorer) and rebounds with 12.3rpg (2nd best).
