Seoul Thunders welcome back Kanter

Kerem Kanter

Seoul Samsung Thunders (KBL) signed 30-year-old Turkish 208cm power forward Kerem Kanter (college: Xavier). He is the second import player on the team, joining Canadian Andrew Nicholson. Kanter is returning to Samsung Thunders, where he has played before. His most recent stint was with La Familia in The Basketball Tournament in the U.S.
Kanter is a very experienced player, having played professionally in eight different countries on three different continents. He has experience in European, Asian, and North American leagues. Kanter has played for teams in France, Greece, Japan, Lithuania, Poland, Russia, Spain, and The Basketball Tournament. He was voted to the VTB United League All-Star Game in 2025.
His team made it to the TBT Semifinals in 2024.
Kanter graduated from Xavier University in 2018 and it'll be his eighth season in pro basketball. He played also for University of Wisconsin - Green Bay for 3 years.
