Knights made 18-of-21 free shots (85.7 percent) during the game. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Knights made 7 blocks. American center Jameel Warney (203-1994, college: Stony Brook) had a double-double by scoring 28 points, 14 rebounds and 5 assists to lead the charge for the winners and center Hyung-Bin Kim (202-2000) chipped in 16 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists during the contest. American center Rayshaun Hammonds (206-1998, college: Georgia) responded with 21 points and 8 rebounds and Junyoung Park scored 14 points. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.

Egyptian center Assem Marei (206-1992, college: MSU) notched a double-double by scoring 24 points, 18 rebounds, 7 assists and 4 steals to lead the effort and Filipino forward Carl Tamayo (200-2001) supported him with 22 points and 5 rebounds. Even 16 points and 5 rebounds by American forward Gaige Prim (203-1999, college: Missouri St.) did not help to save the game for Mobis Phoebus. The former international guard Moobeen Park (185-2001) added 10 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists for the guests. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest.
