Kerem Kanter (ex Avtodor) agreed terms with Seoul Thunders

Seoul Samsung Thunders (KBL) signed 30-year-old Turkish 208cm power forward Kerem Kanter (college: Xavier) for the upcoming season. He last played at Avtodor in the Russian VTB United League, where he averaged 12.9ppg and 6.1rpg in 37 games last season. Kanter had a great year, earning a spot in the VTB United League All-Star Game and being named League Player of the Week.
He represented Turkey at the European Championship (FIBA EuroBasket) U18 in Latvia twelve years ago. Kanter's team won Gold and he had 8 ppg.
Kanter is a very experienced player. He has traveled the world during his pro career, playing in eight different countries on three different continents (Europe, Asia, and North America). Kanter has played professionally in France (ADA Blois and JL Bourg), Greece (Kolossos H Hotels Rodou), Japan (Happinets), Lithuania (Dzukija), Poland (WKS Slask), Spain (Joventut), and The Basketball Tournament (Zip Em Up and La Familia).
His team made it to the TBT Semifinals in 2024.
He graduated from Xavier University in 2018 and it'll be his eighth season in pro basketball. Kanter played also for University of Wisconsin - Green Bay for 3 years.
