Warney's double-double lands him Player of the Week award

31-year old American center Jameel Warney (203-C-1994) put on an amazing game in the last round for Seoul SK Knights and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 12.
He had a double-double of 32 points and 12 rebounds, while his team beat Seoul Thunders (#8, 6-9) 75-67. Knights is placed at 6th position in South Korean league. Seoul Knights is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 7-7 record. In the team's last game Warney had a remarkable 53.8% from 2-point range. He has many years of experience at Knights, through which he has constantly improved. Stony Brook University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Warney is league's best scorer averaging so far 26.4ppg. Warney is in league's top in rebounds (2nd best: 13.5rpg), assists (4th best: 4.5apg) and averages solid 52.7% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was Andrew Nicholson (206-PF-1989) of Seoul Samsung Thunders. He is Canadian forward in his first season at Seoul Thunders. In the last game Nicholson recorded an impressive 31 points and 5 rebounds. Bad luck as Samsung Thunders lost that game 67-75 to slightly higher-ranked Seoul Knights (#6, 7-7). Seoul Thunders is still second from the bottom in the standings. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 6-9 record. Nicholson is a newcomer at Seoul Thunders and quickly became one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 20.3ppg (#3). He also registered 6.8 boards per game.

Third place about best performers goes to center Assem Marei (206-C-1992) of league's leader Changwon LG Sakers. Marei showcased his all-around game by recording 12 points, 14 rebounds (!!!) and 8 assists in the last round. He was a key player of Sakers, leading his team to a 83-61 easy win against the lower-ranked KCC Egis (#5, 7-6). LG Sakers confirms their top position in the standings. Their record at this point is 10 victories and 4 lost games. Marei has a great season in South Korea. After 14 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 14.1rpg (#1 in league) and assists with 4.5apg (5th best). He also has 2.4spg and a FGP of 54.2%.
