Busan KCC Egis (KBL) strengthened their roster with the addition of 32-year-old USA ex-international forward Shawn Long (208cm-112kg-1993, college: Louisiana, agency: Pensack Sports) for the 2025-26 season. Long was the best rebounder at Mobis Phoebus last season, averaging 15.0ppg, 7.0rpg, and 2.0apg in 59 KBL games in South Korea. He helped lead his team to the semifinals and was named League Player of the Week, as well as voted to the Asia-Basket.com All-South Korean League Third Team. In the previous season (2023-24), Long played for Evessa in the Japanese B1 League.
Long has tried to make it to the NBA and played in the NBA Pro Summer League in 2016.
He is a very experienced player. Thanks to Long's pro career, he managed to play on three different continents (Asia, Australia, and North America) in five different countries. Long has played professionally in Australia (United and Breakers), China (Flying Tigers and Guizhou), Japan (Sapporo), NBA (Chicago Bulls and Philadelphia 76ers), and NBA G League (Delaware Blue Coats).
In addition to these achievements, he was named the Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the 2023 FIBA Asia Cup.
Long graduated from UL Lafayette in 2016 and it will be his 10th season as a pro player. He played also for Mississippi State University for 1 year.
