Anyang KGC (KBL) added 32-year-old American power forward Johnny O'Bryant III (207cm-114kg-1993, college: LSU, agency: Slash Sports) to their roster for the 2025-26 season. This marks his return to Anyang, where he has played before. O'Bryant played last season at Sagesse in the Lebanese LBL league, averaging 14.3ppg, 7.1rpg, and 1.6apg in 8 games and earning the title of League Player of the Week. He also played 5 games in the West Asia Super League, averaging 14.6ppg, 6.6rpg, 2.8apg, and 1.0spg. O'Bryant briefly played for Anyang KGC and Uralmash Yekaterinburg (VTB United League) in the Russian league.
In 2014, he was drafted by the Milwaukee Bucks (NBA) in the second round (36th overall). He graduated from Louisiana State University, and it is his twelfth season in pro basketball.
O'Bryant represented the USA at the World Championship U17 in Hamburg (Germany) fifteen years ago. His team won Gold and he averaged over 4 ppg.
He is a quite experienced player. Thanks to his pro career, he managed to play on four different continents (Europe, Asia, Latin America, and of course North America) in thirteen different countries. O'Bryant has played previously professionally in China (Sharks), Israel (Maccabi Tel Aviv), Japan (Robots), Philippines (Bolts), Puerto Rico (Gigantes), Russia (Lokomotiv), Serbia (Crvena zvezda), Turkey (Turk Telekom), NBA (Washington Wizards and Charlotte Hornets), South Korea (Wonju DB), NBA G League (NAZ Suns), and The Basketball Tournament (Eberlein Drive).
He won the Israeli Premier League championship title in 2019. He was voted to Eurobasket.com All-VTB League Honorable Mention in 2020.
