Experienced Egyptian Assem Marei (206-C-1992) put on an amazing game in the last round for league's second-best Changwon LG Sakers and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 47.
The 32-year old center had a double-double of 24 points and 21 rebounds, while his team beat Mobis Phoebus (#3, 32-21) 83-76. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. Sakers maintains the 2nd position in South Korean KBL. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. LG Sakers will need more victories to improve their 34-19 record. Marei has many years of experience at Sakers, through which he has constantly improved. Minnesota State University Mankato graduate has very impressive stats this year. Marei leads league in rebounds with 13.1rpg. Marei is in league's top in assists (7th best: 4.5apg) and averages solid 57.2% FGP.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young American Donovan Smith (207-C/F-1993) of KCC Egis. Smith impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 21 points and 10 rebounds. Bad luck as Egis lost that game 83-91 to slightly lower-ranked Seoul Thunders (#10, 16-37). KCC Egis is still second from the bottom in the standings. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 18-35 record. Smith is a newcomer at KCC Egis and despite he is not a team leader yet, every game he becomes more reliable player. Hopefully performances like the last one will happen more often.

The third best performed player last round was American Glenn Robinson III (198-F-1994) of Seoul Samsung Thunders (#10). Robinson III showcased his all-around game by recording 22 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists in the last round. He was a key player of Samsung Thunders, leading his team to a 91-83 win against slightly higher-ranked KCC Egis (#8, 18-35). The chances of Seoul Thunders not to end season at such low position in the league, however are less than slim as they have already lost 37 games, recording just sixteen victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Robinson III could try to bring Seoul Thunders' a little bit higher in the standings. Robinson III has a very solid season. In 16 games in South Korea he scored 12.3ppg.

The Player of the week is selected based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3*(REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4*(2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3*(2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3*(3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
