Duhok celebrated a crucial win at WABA League Group B. They overcame Jordanian ASU to improve at 1-3 record and clinched the fourth spot that sent them into the next round. Malcolm Battles (205-F/C-79, college: N.Mexico) posted 28 points and 7 rebounds to pace Duhok. ASU in the meantime fell at 0-4 record and got eliminated from the tournament.
ASU got the upper hand in the opening quarter. The Jordanian team grabbed a 31:29 lead after a high-flying period. But Duhok surged ahead late in the half. The Iraqis secured a 59:53 lead at the interval. The teams traded baskets throughout the third period. ASU pulled ahead to enter the final frame up by two points 77:75. Duhok however did not surrender and soon regained the lead. Quinton Day (196-G-84, agency: Strategic Sports, college: UMKC) and Esian Henderson fouled out for ASU and Duhok capitalized surviving a tough final minutes and clinching a difficult win at the end. Jenero Gorgiss (185-G/F-82) posted 23 points, while Chamberlain Oguchi (198-G-86, college: Illinois St.) added 20 points in the victory. Quinton Day and Islam Abbaas (203-C-80) finished with 23 points each in the loss.

He played most recently at Shanghai China CBO Chang Cheng Kaui Dai where he averaged impressive: 32.6ppg, 9.7ast, 9.5 rebs, 55%2pt, 48.4% 3pt, 4.5stls, 1.8blk. Al Shurtah Police (Superleague) agreed terms with 26-year old American guard Kenny Brown (188-91, college: Ferris State). He played last summer at Halcones in Panamanian LPB league. In 12 games he had 10.5ppg, 1.8rpg and 3.8apg. Brown helped them to win the regular season and make it to the semifinals.
