Iraqi Superleague round 19 best performance: Ihab Al-Zuhairi (by Hoops Agents)

International Power forward Ihab Al-Zuhairi (210-F/C-1998) had a great game in the last round for top-ranked Al-Difaa Aljawie, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 19.
The 26-year old player had a double-double of 16 points and 14 rebounds, while his team beat Zakho (#7, 7-7) 97-83. It allowed Al-Difaa to consolidate first place in the Iraqi Superleague. Al-Difaa have a solid 14-2 record. It's Al-Zuhairi's second year at Al-Difaa and it's hard to imagine this team without him. Ihab Al-Zuhairi has solid league stats. He leads league in rebounds with 15.2rpg. Al-Zuhairi is in league's top in and averages impressive 60.9% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was young American Reggie Baker (193-SG-1993) of Tijarah Sports Club. Baker had a very good evening with 37 points, 7 rebounds and 3 assists. Bad luck as Tijarah lost that game 91-99 to the higher-ranked Al Shurtah (#3, 11-6). Tijarah is still in a red zone at 10th spot in the standings. 13 lost games are too many comparing to just two victories Tijarah managed to get this year. Baker is a newcomer at Tijarah, but is already one of team's top players.

Third on the list of top players last round was another Tijarah's star - American forward Julio Guity (204-F-1995, agency: The French Family Consulting). Guity scored 18 points and grabbed 11 rebounds (!!!). Despite Guity's great performance the Tijarah Sports Club lost 91-99 to the higher-ranked Al Shurtah (#3, 11-6). But his team cannot count on just these two top stars as they also need help of the other teammates. Tijarah can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have rather bad season and 2-13 record places them close to the bottom of the standings. Guity has individually a great season in Iraq. After 12 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 10.1rpg (6th best).

8. Gerard Tarin (206-F-1996) of Dijlah - 20 points, 8 rebounds and 2 assists
9. Isaac Banks (201-F-1994) of Zakho - 19 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists
10. Ricardo Artis II (198-F/G-1993) of Ghaz Al-Shamal - 16 points, 9 rebounds and 2 assists
