Al-Difaa lands Unique McLean

Unique McLean

Defending champion Al-Difaa Aljawie (Superleague) tabbed 27-year old American 188cm guard Unique McLean (college: SFC, agency: Blacktop Management). He was the top scorer at Al Shurtah. In 5 West Asia Super League games in Iraq he averaged impressive 21.0ppg, 4.2rpg, 3.8apg and 1.2spg last season. He also played for Al-Ahli Manama (Premier League) in Bahrain league. The other team he played shortly was Starwings Basket Basel (SBL) in Swiss league.
McLean is a very experienced player. And here thanks to pro basketball he experienced life in five different countries playing on three different continents. He is familiar with European, Asian and of course North American leagues. McLean has played previously professionally in Bahrain, Finland, Luxembourg (Sparta), Saudi Arabia (Deba) and Switzerland. His team made it to the Iraqi League Cup Finalist in 2024 final.
Among many awards he was voted to Asia-Basket.com All-Saudi Arabian SBL Honorable Mention in 2023.
He graduated from St. Francis College (NY) in 2021 and it will be his fourth season in pro basketball. McLean played also for University of Massachusetts for 3 years.
