Best players of Iraqi Superleague round 20

American Kaleb Hunter (193-G-1998) had a very impressive game in the last round for Ghaz Al-Shamal and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 20.
The 26-year old guard had a double-double of 23 points and 15 rebounds, while his team beat Al Karkh (#5, 9-10) 85-75. Ghaz Al-Shamal maintains the 8th position in Iraqi Superleague. Ghaz Al-Shamal is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 6-7 record. In the team's last game Hunter had a remarkable 66.7% from 2-point range. He turned to be Ghaz Al-Shamal's top player in his first season with the team. Kaleb Hunter averages this season 23.4ppg and 7.3rpg.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young international center Ali Hameed (208-C-1984) of Al Karkh. Hameed impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 17 points and 22 rebounds. Bad luck as Al Karkh lost that game 75-85 to the lower-ranked Ghaz Al-Shamal (#8, 6-7). Al Karkh managed to keep the same 5th spot in the standings. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 9-10 record. Hameed is a newcomer at Al Karkh and despite he is not a team leader yet, every game he becomes more reliable player. Hopefully performances like the last one will happen more often.

The third best performed player last round was American Unique McLean (188-G-1997) of top-ranked Al-Difaa Aljawie. McLean scored 27 points and grabbed 6 rebounds. He was a key player of Al-Difaa, leading his team to a 97-80 easy win against #4 ranked Al-Hashd in a game of the week. Al-Difaa confirms their top position in the standings. McLean has a very solid season. In 12 games in Iraq he scored 12.0ppg. He also has a FGP of 57.7% and 3PT: 40.5%.
