American Point guard Kerwin Roach II (192-PG-1996, agency: MSG) had an amazing evening in the last round for Al-Hashd Social Sports Club, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 16.
The 28-year old player was the main contributor (29 points, seven rebounds and six assists) to his team's victory, helping them to beat Al Kahraba (#9, 3-9) 85-75. Al-Hashd maintains the 4th position in Iraqi Superleague. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Al-Hashd will need more victories to improve their 9-7 record. In the team's last game Roach II had a remarkable 70.0% from 2-point range. He turned to be Al-Hashd's top player in his first season with the team. Kerwin Roach II averages this season 19.1ppg, 6.3rpg and 5.7apg.

The second best player in last round's games was another Al-Hashd's star - young American Brian Halums (196-G-1997). Halums had a very good evening with 31 points, 9 rebounds and 2 assists. Of course Al-Hashd Social Sports Club cruised to a 85-75 relatively comfortable win over the lower-ranked Al Kahraba (#9, 3-9). Al-Hashd's 4th position in the standings has not changed. His team's 9-7 record is not bad at all. Halums is a newcomer at Al-Hashd, but is already one of team's top players.

Third on the list of top players last round was American forward Daytone Jennings (206-F-1997, agency: SLN) of Al Hilla (#6). Jennings scored 22 points and grabbed 18 rebounds (!!!). He was a key player of Al Hilla, leading his team to a 90-74 easy win against the lower-ranked Tijarah (#10, 2-12). The chances of Al Hilla ranking at the top of the league, however are very questionable as they have already lost 10 games, recording just seven victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Jennings could help Al Hilla to bring them higher in the standings. Jennings has a great season in Iraq. After only 9 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 26.4ppg (3rd best) and rebounds with 12.8rpg (3rd best).
