Amin Abuhawwas agreed terms with Al Shurtah

Al Shurtah Police (Superleague) signed 30-year-old American (who also holds a Jordanian passport) 190cm guard Amin Abuhawwas (college: Mars Hill) for the upcoming season. He was the leading scorer during his time at Al-Hashd.
During the most of previous (2022-23) season, he spent at Al Ahli Amman in the Jordanian League of Talents where in 21 games he recorded very impressive stats: 22.9ppg, 4.7rpg, 6.0apg, and 2.0spg. He helped them to win the league title (twice) despite they ended the regular season at the second place (twice). It was a great year indeed as he was voted to Asia-Basket.com Jordanian Premier League All-Domestic Players Team and League Player of the Week (2 times). Abuhawwas also played for Dijlah University (D2).
He represented Jordan at the FIBA World Cup in Philippines-Japan-Indonesia last year. His team got to the Semifinals and he had an average of almost 5 points per game.
Abuhawwas has also played professionally in Jordan (Orthodox, Al Wihdat, and Al Riyadi) and Qatar (Al Shamal).
It is worth mentioning that he also played at Eurobasket Summer League, which helped him secure a job in professional basketball.
He attended Mars Hill College until 2014 and it'll be his 11th season in pro basketball.
