American guard Brian Halums (196-G-1997, college: UAFS) was the top scorer of the day in the world with the 51 points he had in the Iraqi league. Halums graduated from The University of Arkansas Fort Smith in 2020. His excellent performance made his team Al-Hashd beat the Al Hilla 89 to 71. He also grabbed 13 rebounds that game. Halums is the 2nd best scorer in the league averaging almost 27 points and almost 8 rebounds per game. His team made it to the Qatari Final Four in 2023 and 2025. Among many awards he was selected to the NABC NCAA D2 All-South Central District First Team as well as the All-Americans Third Team back in 2020.
