Duhok celebrated a crucial win at WABA League Group B. They overcame Jordanian ASU to improve at 1-3 record and clinched the fourth spot that sent them into the next round. ASU got the upper hand in the opening quarter. The Jordanian team grabbed a 31:29 lead after a high-flying period. But Duhok surged ahead late in the half. The Iraqis secured a 59:53 lead at the interval. The teams traded baskets throughout the third period. ASU pulled ahead to enter the final frame up by two points 77:75. Duhok however did not surrender and soon regained the lead. Quinton Day (196-G-84, agency: Strategic Sports, college: UMKC) and Esian Henderson fouled out for ASU and Duhok capitalized surviving a tough final minutes and clinching a difficult win at the end. Jenero Gorgiss (185-G/F-82) posted 23 points, while Chamberlain Oguchi (198-G-86, college: Illinois St.) added 20 points in the victory. Quinton Day and Islam Abbaas (203-C-80) finished with 23 points each in the loss.

Mahram registered the second win in Group B of WABA League. The Iranian team held off Duhok to stay on top of the standings. Nikoloz Tskitishvili (212-C/F-83) stepped up with impressive 29 points and 14 rebounds to pace Mahram. Duhok suffered the third loss in a row.

However Duhok stayed within a striking distance. Mahram went into the locker room up by just 3 points 45:42. The margin grew in the third term. Mahram gradually boosted the gap taking a 67:60 advantage with one quarter to go. The Iranian side went on a 15:5 rally at the start of the final period and raced to the victory at the end. Hamed Afagh (190-G-83) had 19 points, while Samad Nik Khahbahrami (198-F-83) added 14 points for the winning side. Ali Hamad (193-F-86) and Mohammed Mahdi (205-F/C-80) answered with 16 points each for Duhok. Chamberlain Oguchi had 12 points in the loss.
