South Korean Basketball League (Korean Basketball League) History

League status

The Korean Basketball League (NBF) is the first-tier professional basketball league in South Korea. KBL was established in 1955.
The KBL sits above the University League which effectively forms the second-tier of South Korean basketball.
At the end of regular season, top 6 teams qualify to the play-offs.
Limits of non-South Korean players per team: 2 import players (non-Europeans), 2 Bosman players (with European passport) . Total number of allowed imports and Bosmans is 2.
