Byblos - NSA 67-84 No shocking result in a game when NSA beat on the road Byblos 84-67 on Friday. NSA dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Byblos' 28. They outrebounded Byblos 41-29 including 30 on the defensive glass. NSA looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists comparing to just 8 passes made by Byblos' players. American forward Anthony Fairley (203-1999, college: Miles) notched a double-double by scoring 24 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the effort and the former international swingman Nadim Souaid (192-1986) supported him with 21 points, 7 rebounds and 8 assists. Four NSA players scored in double figures. NSA's coach used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Even 23 points and 5 steals by Mohamed Skaf did not help to save the game for Byblos. Rami Abou Tanos added 17 points for the hosts. NSA will meet at home Atlas in the next round where they are favorite. Byblos will have a break next round. Dynamo forced 21 Atlas turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists comparing to just 7 passes made by Atlas' players. American guard Zach Lofton (193-1992, college: NM State, agency: Slash Sports) notched 27 points, 9 rebounds, 6 assists and 5 steals to lead the effort and international power forward Karim Ezzeddine (206-1997, college: N.Mexico) supported him with 20 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists. Dynamo's coach Jad El Hajj felt very confident that he used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Hosts were rolled over by Champville 84-57. Champville forced 21 Antranik turnovers. The former international guard Jimmy Salem (190-1995) orchestrated the victory by scoring 29 points and 5 rebounds. Canadian-Palestinian forward Shane Osayande (200-1993, college: Saskatchewan) contributed with a double-double by scoring 15 points, 15 rebounds and 4 blocks for the winners. American guard Keith Charleston (203-1995, college: SE Louisiana) replied with a double-double by scoring 14 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists and Albert Maroun added 16 points in the effort for Antranik. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Liders - Homentmen 85-84 Important game to mention about took place in . Liders saved a 1-point victory at home edging Homentmen 85-84 on Wednesday evening. Strangely Homentmen outrebounded Liders 45-27 including a 32-21 advantage in defensive rebounds. American center Nicholas Evans (210-1988, college: S.Indiana) scored 22 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the charge for the winners and Mike Haddad chipped in 22 points during the contest. Five Liders players scored in double figures. American center Jarred Shaw (208-1990, college: Utah St.) responded with a double-double by scoring 33 points (!!!) and 11 rebounds and his fellow American import point guard Jesse Jones (183, college: Bridgeport) scored 25 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists (was perfect 9-for-9 from the free throw line !!!). Homentmen's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Liders will play against Al Riyadi in Beirut in the next round. Homentmen will have a break next round.
