Regular Season Round 2: Hoops - Sagesse 70-77

Very expected game when Hoops lost to Sagesse in Beirut 70-77 on Sunday. Sagesse dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Hoops' 26. American power forward Cliff Alexander (203-1995, college: Kansas, agency: MSG) notched a double-double by scoring 33 points (!!!), 11 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the effort and international point guard Ali Mezher (182-1994) supported him with 10 points, 6 rebounds, 9 assists and 5 steals. Four Sagesse players scored in double figures. Even 22 points and 5 rebounds by American forward Chris Washburn (203-1993, college: TCU) did not help to save the game for Hoops. The former international swingman Khalil Aoun (195-1990) added 8 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists for the hosts. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Sagesse will meet at home NSA in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Hoops will have a break next round.
