Regular Season Round 2: Liders - Homentmen 85-84

Important game to mention about took place in . Liders saved a 1-point victory at home edging Homentmen 85-84 on Wednesday evening. Strangely Homentmen outrebounded Liders 45-27 including a 32-21 advantage in defensive rebounds. American center Nicholas Evans (210-1988, college: S.Indiana) scored 22 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the charge for the winners and Mike Haddad chipped in 22 points during the contest. Five Liders players scored in double figures. American center Jarred Shaw (208-1990, college: Utah St.) responded with a double-double by scoring 33 points (!!!) and 11 rebounds and his fellow American import point guard Jesse Jones (183, college: Bridgeport) scored 25 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists (was perfect 9-for-9 from the free throw line !!!). Homentmen's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Liders will play against Al Riyadi in Beirut in the next round. Homentmen will have a break next round.
