B1 League Regular Season is still in too early stage and there may be still significant changes in the standings. Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.

Velca defeated Ballooners in Nagasaki 76-67. Nagasaki looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. It was a great evening for South Korean swingman Hyunjung Lee (201-2000, college: Davidson) who led his team to a victory scoring 19 points and 6 rebounds. Panamanian-American center Akil Mitchell (206-1992, college: Virginia) helped adding 12 points and 13 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field). The best for the losing side was American David Dudzinski (205-1992, college: Holy Cross) with 19 points and 6 rebounds (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field). Ballooners' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of 89ers (2-1) in Chiba. Visitors were rolled over by Jets (3-0) 99-78. Americans were the main players on the court. It was an exceptional evening for forward John Mooney (206-1998, college: Notre Dame, agency: Pensack Sports) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 15 rebounds. DJ Hogg accounted for 20 points and 6 rebounds. Guard Jarrett Culver (198-1999, college: Texas Tech) came up with 15 points and 8 rebounds (went 10 for 10 at the free throw line !!!) for Sendai 89ers in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Jets will play against Sendai 89ers (#6) at home in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. 89ers will have a break next round.
Very important is a home loss of Dragonflies (2-1) against Sapporo (2-1) on Saturday night. Host Dragonflies were crushed by Sapporo in Hiroshima 94-73. The best player for the winners was Jahlil Okafor who had a double-double by scoring 20 points and 12 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was Christopher Smith who recorded 29 points. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Sapporo will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Dragonflies will play against Hokkaido L. and hope to secure a win.

There were no shocking results in the rest of the games of round 3: FE Nagoya destroyed Yokohama BC on the opponent's court 90-71. Nagoya DD outscored Osaka E. in a home game 85-66. Gunma CT recorded a loss to Ibaraki R. on the road 85-79. Winless Koshigaya A. was defeated by Chiba on its own court 63-77. Sunrockers Sh. beat San-en NP in Tokyo 83-73. Saga B. was defeated by Nagasaki on the road 85-73. Ryukyu beat Alvark Tokyo on its own court 83-68.
The most impressive stats of the last round was 13 points and 11 rebounds by Alex Kirk of Ryukyu GK.
