Regular Season Round 3: Ibaraki R. - Gunma CT 85-79

There was a minor upset in Mito where Thunders (1-2) were defeated by Robots (1-2) 85-79 on Saturday. Ibaraki R. dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Thunders's 22. Ibaraki R. looked well-organized offensively handing out 29 assists. The best player for the winners was American Eric Jacobsen (208-1994, college: Arizona St.) who had a double-double by scoring 12 points, 17 rebounds and 6 assists. Guard Hayate Komasawa (188-1998) chipped in 28 points. At the other side the best for losing team was German Johannes Thiemann (206-1994) who recorded 19 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists and international point guard Takuto Nakamura (184-2001, agency: Schafer Sports) added 20 points respectively. Robots will meet at home Gunma CT (#11) in the next round. Thunders will have a break next round.
