Regular Season Round 3: Chiba Jets - Sendai 89ers 99-78

Date: October 11, 2025
The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of 89ers (2-1) in Chiba. Visitors were rolled over by Jets (3-0) 99-78. Americans were the main players on the court. It was an exceptional evening for forward John Mooney (206-1998, college: Notre Dame, agency: Pensack Sports) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 15 rebounds. Forward DJ Hogg (203-1996, college: Texas A&M) accounted for 20 points and 6 rebounds for the winning side. Four Jets players scored in double figures. Guard Jarrett Culver (198-1999, college: Texas Tech) came up with 15 points and 8 rebounds (went 10 for 10 at the free throw line !!!) and Nathan Boothe (208-1994, college: Toledo) added 18 points and 4 assists respectively for Sendai 89ers in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Jets will play against Sendai 89ers (#6) at home in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. 89ers will have a break next round.
