The round was exceptionally exciting as three games ended with a tiny margin. Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.

The most important game in the last round took place in Saga between third ranked Jets (25-9) and sixth ranked Ballooners (19-15) on Saturday night. Jets were defeated by Ballooners in a tough game on the road 79-83. Saga B. looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. American power forward Tanner Groves (208-1999, college: Oklahoma) had a double-double by scoring 22 points, 15 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the charge for the winners and the other American import David Dudzinski (205-1992, college: Holy Cross) chipped in 17 points during the contest. At the losing side the former international forward Yuta Watanabe (206-1994, college: GWU) responded with 20 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Jets' coach tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Ballooners have a solid four-game winning streak. Saga B. moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Hiroshima D. Chiba Jets at the other side keep the third position with nine games lost. Saga B. is looking forward to face higher ranked Chiba Jets (#3) at home in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Chiba Jets will have a break next round.
B1 League top team - Sapporo (26-8) added another victory to their record. This time they beat ninth ranked Alphas (12-22) 88-81. Nigerian-American center Jahlil Okafor (211-1995, college: Duke) notched a double-double by scoring 20 points and 14 rebounds to lead the effort and Dwight Ramos supported him with 18 points and 6 rebounds. Even a double-double of 14 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists by Filipino-American center Kai Sotto (220-2002) did not help to save the game for Koshigaya A.. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Hokkaido L. maintains first position with 26-8 record, which they share with Tochigi Brex. Koshigaya A. at the other side dropped to the eighth place with 22 games lost. They share the position with Yokohama BC. Hokkaido L. will play against Koshigaya A. (#9) in Tokyo in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Koshigaya A. will have a break next round.
B1 League top team - Velca (29-5) managed to deliver another win on Saturday. This time they beat fifth ranked Dragonflies (19-15) in Nagasaki 84-71. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Dragonflies. Americans were the main players on the court. Jarrell Brantley fired 28 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field) for the winners. Velca's coach used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. Dwayne Evans produced 20 points and 4 assists for lost side. Nagasaki maintains first position with 29-5 record. Loser Dragonflies keeps the fifth place with 15 games lost. They share the position with Saga B.. Nagasaki will meet at home Hiroshima D. (#5) in the next round. Hiroshima D. will have a break next round.

Sunrockers Sh. recorded a loss to Kawasaki on the road 81-79. Ibaraki R. was crushed by Sea Horses M. on its own court 64-90. Shimane SM beat Kyoto H. in a road game 65-64. FE Nagoya lost to Ryukyu at home 85-88. Chiba managed to outperform Sendai 89ers on the opponent's court 80-71. Shiga L-Stars recorded a loss to San-en NP in a home game 81-93. Gunma CT was defeated by Tochigi Brex on the road 71-67. Yokohama BC was smashed by Nagoya DD on its own court 75-95.
The most impressive stats of the last round was 15 points and 8 rebounds by Gary Clark of Yokohama BC.



Akita NH - Osaka E. 80-93

Very expected game in Akita where 13th ranked Happinets (6-28) were defeated by ninth ranked Evessa (15-19) 93-80 on Saturday. Osaka E. looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists.
