Regular Season Round 34: Saga B. - Chiba Jets 83-79

The most important game in the last round took place in Saga between third ranked Jets (25-9) and sixth ranked Ballooners (19-15) on Saturday night. Jets were defeated by Ballooners in a tough game on the road 79-83. Saga B. looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. American power forward Tanner Groves (208-1999, college: Oklahoma) had a double-double by scoring 22 points, 15 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the charge for the winners and the other American import David Dudzinski (205-1992, college: Holy Cross) chipped in 17 points during the contest. At the losing side the former international forward Yuta Watanabe (206-1994, college: GWU) responded with 20 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists and American forward DJ Hogg (203-1996, college: Texas A&M) scored 15 points and 9 rebounds. Jets' coach tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Ballooners have a solid four-game winning streak. Saga B. moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Hiroshima D. Chiba Jets at the other side keep the third position with nine games lost. Saga B. is looking forward to face higher ranked Chiba Jets (#3) at home in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Chiba Jets will have a break next round.
