Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.

The most crucial game of the last round was another loss of top-ranked San-en NP (39-7) on the court of third ranked Kyoto H. on Sunday night. Visitors were defeated by Kyoto H. 87-79. Kyoto H. looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. 24 personal fouls committed by San-en NP helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Italian-American forward Angelo Caloiaro (203-1989, college: USF, agency: Pensack Sports) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 14 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists. The former international guard Yuta Okada (189-1998) contributed with 20 points and 4 assists for the winners. American forward Yante Maten (201-1996, college: Georgia) answered with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 11 rebounds for San-en NP. San-en NP's coach rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Kyoto H. have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain third place with 25-22 record having thirteen points less than leader Tochigi Brex, which they share with Nagoya DD and Sunrockers Sh. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Sendai 89ers moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Ibaraki R. Akita NH at the other side keeps the fourth position with 25 games lost. They share it with Hiroshima D. and Nagasaki. Sendai 89ers will play against higher ranked Sunrockers Sh. (#4) in Tokyo in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Akita NH will play on the road against Koshigaya A. in Tokyo and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
Very important is a road loss of first ranked Tochigi Brex (38-9) against sixth ranked Nagasaki (22-25) on Sunday night. Visiting Tochigi Brex was defeated by Nagasaki in Nagasaki 77-65. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Tochigi Brex. It was an exceptional evening for Jarrell Brantley who led the winners and scored 28 points, 8 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals. Atsuya Ogawa came up with 15 points and 4 assists for Tochigi Brex in the defeat. Nagasaki moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Akita NH and Hiroshima D. Loser Tochigi Brex still keeps top position with nine games lost. Nagasaki will meet league's leader San-en NP in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Tochigi Brex will play against Sea Horses M. in Kariya and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

There were no big surprises in other games of round 47: FE Nagoya was beaten by Alvark Tokyo on the road 76-72. Chiba Jets destroyed Kawasaki on its own court 104-68. Shiga L-Stars managed to outperform Nagoya DD in a road game 94-86. Hiroshima D. recorded a loss to Sea Horses M. at home 65-74. Hokkaido L. crushed Koshigaya A. on the opponent's court 97-73. Ryukyu beat Gunma CT in a home game 73-64. Sunrockers Sh. lost to Saga B. on the road 78-87. Shimane SM outscored Osaka E. on its own court 95-73. Ibaraki R. recorded a loss to Yokohama BC in a road game 78-61.
The most impressive performance of 47th round was 27 points and 13 rebounds by Robert Franks of Ibaraki R..



Alvark Tokyo - FE Nagoya 76-72

No shocking result in a game when second ranked Alvark Tokyo (34-13) beat at home 6th ranked Fighting Eagles (21-26) 76-72 on Sunday. However just four-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. It was an exceptional evening for the former international forward Ryan Rossiter (206-1989, college: Siena) who led the winners and scored 9 points, 13 rebounds and 5 assists. Spanish Sebastian Saiz (205-1994, college: Ole Miss) accounted for 13 points and 10 rebounds for the winning side.
