Qatar, Jordan, Philippines and Iran advance into quarterfinals in Doha

Jordan - Malaysia 70-64
Jordan made it into the quarterfinal stage in Qatar after they handled Malaysia. Omar Hijazi (197-G-2007) scored 16 points and grabbed 7 rebounds for the winners. Jordan piled up a 39-29 halftime lead. Malaysia cut the deficit at 5-point mark at the final break. But Jordan maintained control throughout the fourth quarter and raced to the win. Abdel Alshdefat (184-G-2007) hauled in 12 points for Jordan. Yen-Joon Chua (183-G-2007) pitched in 15 points for Malaysia.

Philippines - South Korea 95-71
Philippines fired past South Korea to advance into the quarterfinal stage at the championship. Philippines recorded a 60-38 halftime lead and never looked back en route to the win. Joaquin Ludovice (176-G-2007) recorded 25 points, while Kurt Velasquez (180-PG-2007) added 17 points in the victory. Daniel Edi (189-C-2007) answered with 17 points for South Korea.

Iran - Lebanon 83-53
Iran cruised past Lebanon in the qualification to the quarterfinals in Doha. Iran dominated from start to finish. They established a 37-19 halftime lead. Iran sank 46 points in the second half to march to the win. Benyamin Mohammadi (194-F-2007) posted 18 points, while Iman Valizadeh (191-SG-2007) banked in 17 points for Iran. Ralph Iskandar (190-G-2007) answered with 16 points for Lebanon.

India - Qatar 84-87
Qatar outlasted India to advance into the quarterfinal stage. Qatar went on a decisive 32-15 run in the second period to take a 12-point halftime lead. India narrowed the gap in the second half but could not avoid the loss. Abdulla Mousa (184-PG-2008) scored 31 points to pace the winners. Mohamed Ndao (193-G-2007) added 29 points, 11 rebounds and 6 assists for Qatar. Lavish Lavish (180-PG-2007) and Lokesh Sharma (188-PF-2007) answered with 23 points each for India.
