Lebanon - Iran 56-73
Iran topped Group B as they rallied past Lebanon tonight. Iran got off to a quick start as they built a 23-11 lead after ten minutes. Iran sank 45 points in the second half and marched to a convincing win at the end. Mohammad Amini (192-G-2006) netted 29 points and grabbed 9 rebounds, while Sarem Jafari (203-F/C-2005) added 18 points and 15 boards in the win. Rayan Hachem (196-G-2005) finished with 14 points for Lebanon.

Japan - Philippines 73-67
Japan held off Philippines for the second straight in Group C. Japan piled up a 35-24 halftime advantage. Philippines sank 29 points in the fourth quarter but came up short of win at the end. Yuto Kawashima (201-F-2005) recorded 26 points and 18 rebounds to pace the winners. Caelum Harris (196-SF-2005) replied with 18 points for Philippines.

New Zealand - South Korea 73-79 OT
South Korea posted the second win in Doha. They outlasted New Zealand in overtime to remain atop of Group D. New Zealand led by 7 points at the big break 36-29. But South Korea used a 26-19 run in the third term to draw things even. The teams went into overtime where South Korea sank 13 points and snatched the win. Lee Gwanwoo (180-G-2005) finished with 20 points, while Chan You Ko added 19 points for South Korea. Julius Halaifonua (214-C-2006) answered with 16 points and 17 rebounds for New Zealand.

India - Qatar 77-51
India stormed past Qatar to gain 2-1 record in Group A. Kushal Singh (195-PF-2005) stepped up with 31 points and 11 rebounds to lead the charge. India posted a 37-29 halftime lead. They followed with a strong 29-9 run in the third term to clear off for good. Jaideep Rathore (177-PG-2005) netted 18 points in the win. Hamad Mousa (194-F-2006) tossed in 15 points for Qatar.

Australia - Bahrain 88-41
Australia registered the third victory in Group A. They stormed past Bahrain to remain undefeated. Australia grabbed a 38-23 halftime lead. They unleashed 50 points in the second half and eased to the win. Kye Savage (186-G-2005) posted 16 points, while Carlin Briggs (194-F/G-2005) added 14 points in the win. Hasan Nayem (185-F-2005) responded with 10 points for Bahrain.
