Kazakhstan - New Zealand 67-92

New Zealand edged Kazakhstan 92-67 in the opener at the FIBA U16 Asian Championship. After a slow 19-18 run in the first period, New Zealand nailed 30 points to take a 15-point advantage at the halftime. Moreover, they won the third and the last stanzas for the final success.
Nicholas Book (203-F) stepped up with 25 points and Julius Halaifonua delivered 22. Daniil Severgin (178-PG-2005) ended up with massive 28 points in the losing effort, whilst Temirlan Maksot and Abat Marat brought 11 each.
