Paris Bass claims Arab Club Championships Hoops Agents weekly honour

American Paris Bass (207-F/C-1995) had an amazing evening in the last round for Sagesse - Al Hekmeh Beirut and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 6.
The 30-year old power forward had the game-high 31 points adding eight rebounds and three assists for Sagesse in his team's victory, helping them to beat Al Wahda (#15, 1-2) 102-88. The game was not the highest importance and did not have significant influence on top of the standings. Thanks to this victory Sagesse moved-up to the 14th position in Arab Club Championships. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost that single game earlier this season. Sagesse will need more victories to improve their 2-1 record. In the team's last game Bass had a remarkable 87.5% from 2-point range and got four three-pointers out of 7 attempts. He turned to be Sagesse's top player in his first season with the team. University of Detroit Mercy graduate has very impressive stats this year. Bass is in league's top in points (3rd best: 23.7ppg) and averages solid 2.3spg,73.1% FGP and 43.8% from behind 3-point line.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young American shooting guard James Justice (178-SG-1989) of Al Wahda Damascus. Justice impressed basketball fans with 32 points, 4 rebounds and 4 assists. Bad luck as Al Wahda lost that game 88-102 to slightly higher-ranked Sagesse (#14, 2-1). The game was between two teams which are definitely not main contenders for the title. Al Wahda dropped in the standings to second-to-the-bottom (15th) position. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 1-2 record. Justice is a newcomer at Al Wahda and it seems he did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 23.3ppg (#4). He also recorded 4.3 assists per game.

The third best performed player last round was British Joshua Apple (201-F-1998) of Al Seeb (#11). Apple scored 24 points and grabbed 11 rebounds (!!!). He was a key player of Al Seeb, leading his team to a 84-80 win against Al Mena (#12, 0-3). The chances of Al Seeb not to end season at such low position in the league, however are less than slim as they have already lost 2 games, recording just one victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Apple could try to bring Al Seeb's a little bit higher in the standings. Apple has individually a great season in Arab Club Championships. After only 3 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 22.0ppg (9th best) and rebounds with 13.3rpg (#1 in league).
