Arab Club Championships round 5 best performance: Ismael Romero (by Hoops Agents)

Cuban-Puerto Rican Center Ismael Romero (205-C-1991) had a very impressive game in the last round for top-ranked Al Ahly Tripoli, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 5.
The 34-year old player had a double-double of 26 points and 15 rebounds, while his team crushed Antonine (#3, 1-2) with 17-point margin 89-72. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. It allowed Al Ahly Tripoli to consolidate first place in the Arab Club Championships. They maintain a perfect record without any lost game in the league. The season is still on an early stage, but Al Ahly Tripoli already had a very good start winning all 3 without losing a single one. Romero turned to be Al Ahly Tripoli's top player in his first season with the team. Ismael Romero has solid league stats. Third on the list of top players last round was forward Marc Abi-Kheres (197-F-1994) of CS Antonine (#3). Abi-Kheres scored 24 points and grabbed 5 rebounds. Despite Abi-Kheres' great performance the Antonine lost 72-89 to #1 ranked Al Ahly Tripoli. But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates especially in such crucial game. The chances of Antonine not to end season at such low position in the league, however are less than slim as they have already lost 2 games, recording just one victory. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Abi-Kheres could try to bring Antonine's a little bit higher in the standings. Abi-Kheres has a very solid season. In 3 games in Arab Club Championships he scored 21.0ppg.
