Defending champion Al Wahda Damascus (SBL) added 26-year old Syrian-Australian international forward Christian Maran (196cm-1998) to their roster for the 2025-26 season. It is his comeback to Damascus as he has played there before. Maran played last season for Illawarra Hawks 2nd team in Australian NBL One. In 20 games, he recorded 13.9ppg, 6.7rpg, and 1.8apg, helping them win the regular season and reach the final. He previously played for Al Wahda Damascus and has been a regular member of the Syrian Senior National Team since 2024.
He has played previously also in the NBA.
