Phil Greene IV joins Kuwait

Phil Greene IV

The defending champion Al Kuwait SC (D1) agreed terms with 32-year-old American guard Phil Greene IV (187cm-85kg-1992, college: St. John's, agency: Diamond Sports) for the new 2025-26 season. He played last season at Qadsia. In 5 West Asia Super League games in Kuwait, he had 14.0ppg, 3.6rpg, and 4.6apg.
He has tried to make it to the NBA and played in the NBA Pro Summer League in 2015.
Greene is quite an experienced player. He has played professionally in Greece (PAOK Mateco Thessaloniki), Israel, Italy (Verona, Brindisi, and Tortona), Poland (Anwil, Arka, and Trefl), Turkey (Gaziantep, TEKSUT Bandirma BK, Buyukcekmece, and Cayirova), and the NBA (Dallas Mavericks). His team made it to the Kuwait final in 2025.
Among many awards, he was voted to Eurobasket.com All-Turkish League Honorable Mention in 2024.
Greene graduated from St. John's University in 2015 and it'll be his 11th season as a pro player.
