Al Rayyan was defeated by Al Gezira in a tough game in Cairo 80-85. The hosts trailed by 6 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 2-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 85-80. Al Gezira moved-up to second place, which they share with Al Ettehad. Al Rayyan at the other side keeps the third position with two games lost. They share it with Staoueli and Al Kuwait. Al Gezira is looking forward to face league's leader Beirut Club at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Al Rayyan will have a break next round.
An interesting game for Moroccan AS Sale (3-0) which hosted in Sale 3rd placed Algerian Staoueli (1-2). Leader AS Sale had an easy win 93-56. AS Sale have a solid series of three victories in a row. Defending Moroccan champion keeps a position of league leader, which they share with US Monastir and Ahly Tripoli. Staoueli at the other side keeps the third place with two games lost. They share the position with Al Rayyan and Al Kuwait. AS Sale will play against league's leader Ahly Tripoli at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Staoueli will have a break next round.

The victory is especially important as it came on the road game in , where they outplayed Palestinian Al-Buraig (0-4) 127-88 on Friday. It was the only win of guest team this round and in all other games host teams recorded victories.
